Short version:
tocotrienol against arteriosclerosis
tor blood pressure reduction Vitamin K2, DHA/EPA (algae/fish oil), potassium
A possible recommendation:
240 mg tocotrienol (Qureshi) (against fatty liver 400 mg)
50 ug vitamin K2 (Rotterdam Study)
1-4 g DHA/EPA, 10 g la oil
1-2 g potassium salt
More detailed
There are three main factors in the heart and circulatory system that endanger our health:
arteriosclerosis,High blood pressure and Blood clotting. They can cause heart attack, brain stroke and other organ failure.
Yet gigantic amounts of medication are prescribed:
Cholesterol lowering drugs (statins), blood pressure lowering drugs and anticoagulants.
Since some of these have significant side effects, natural means of prevention are also sought.
There's a lot there. The first choice is of course the lifestyle through exercise, diet and, if necessary, weight loss.
In addition, you can achieve a lot with some vitamins. With tocotrienol, vitamin K2, omega-3 and potassium.
tocotrienol (polyunsaturated vitamin E):
can lower cholesterol (10-15%), CRP (40%), MDA (34%), δ-GT (22%) and improve TAS (antioxidant status) by 22%.
This was proven with very good significance (p<0.001) for the amount of 250 mg (together with dietary supplements).
They also have an anti-inflammatory effect through their influence on NFkB.
They can significantly improve blood fluidity (INR value), for example by 72% in 200 IU.
Many positive side effects include, for example, the positive influence on NAFLD (fatty liver) and brain cells (WML).
Vitamin K2:
Has a vasodilatory effect (vasodilator) and thereby reduces blood pressure and improves blood circulation
It is also necessary to store calcium in the bone and keeps the calcium away from the arteries.
According to a large study (Rotterdam study), the third of the population that was well cared for compared to the third that was less well cared for
- half as many infarctions, half as many fatal infarctions and half as severe arteriosclerosis
omega-3, age group of essential fatty acids the algae/fish oils EPA and DHA as well as alpha-linolenic acid (la oil) includes:
DHA has a vasodilator effect and thereby reduces blood pressure and improves blood circulation
All omega-3 have an anti-inflammatory effect, which is also an important factor in arteriosclerosis
Recently there are also omega-3 PRM (e.g. 18-HEPE, 17-HDHA, 14-HDHA) which are significantly anti-inflammatory
Highly unsaturated fatty acids increase the need for antioxidants (which are provided by tocotrienol).
Potassium:
Potassium plays an essential role in blood pressure (and many other processes such as nerve conduction)
The ratio of potassium to sodium is important. Since we absorb large amounts of sodium through table salt, the potassium content falls slightly.
There are foods rich in potassium or directly potassium salt ("blood pressure salt").
Contraindications:
The effects of the vital substances mentioned are by no means marginal
If medication is already being taken, the dosage may need to be reduced.
This applies to
Anticoagulants (NEAK) and tocotrienol
Antihypertensive and tocotrienol (possibly also vitamin K2 and potassium)
Vitamin K2 reduces the effectiveness of outdated coumarin-based anticoagulants (Marcumar, Warfarin).
Bleeding in the intestine (e.g. in Crohn's disease, ulcerative disease, colon cancer) is prolonged by anticoagulant measures
Potassium must not be taken if you have kidney failure
Before operations, clot-reducing measures should be discontinued, including vitamin E (tocotrienol)

Additional information for people taking statins
If you are taking statins (other bisphosphonates), try to take at least 150 mg of GG (geranylgeraniol) per day. Because:
Statins block the mevalonate pathway, which also produces GG (geranylgeraniol). From this GG the body makes CoenzymQ10, muscle protein (as well as menaquinone-4 and steroid hormones). This explains the muscular problems and declining performance caused by statins.
That's why Coenzyme Q10 supplementation in statins is actually mandatory. But giving GG works better because it is absorbed much better and the mitochondria make CoQ10 from GG.
