Gingival hyperplasia (growth of the gums)

There are reports of a case of gum overgrowth that could be cured with tocotrienol.

A woman discovered a "hinberry-like" growth in the upper frontal jaw with profuse bleeding - a Gingival hyperplasia. By treating with concentrated tocotrienol oil (20% tocotrienols), applied directly to the area, the growth disappeared within about 2 weeks.

This is consistent with a study that found tocotrienols to be helpful in all types of tumours - even benign growths are tumours. Tocotrienols have an anti-angiogenic effect, which means they inhibit the formation of new clast blood vessels (capillaries), without which tumours cannot form, which plays an important role in cancer research.

In the case mentioned, the growth has also completely regressed.

This suggests that in cases of gingival hyperplasia, the growths could be tried before surgical procedures by topical tocotrienols.

There are also reports that rinsing the mandrum with oils enriched with tocotrienolsn (0.4 to 1.5% T3) can have a very positive effect on periodontitis (gum inflammation).
